Doug Kennedy has been consulting in real estate, planning and economics for over 38 years, and has witnessed ups and downs in markets, demographic shifts, the advent of social media the cycling of supply and demand. This long term experience in a wide variety of markets, along with a willingness to to adapt to shifts and trends gives Doug the ability to see both the opportunities and concerns with every project, allowing him to provide realistic and strategic advice to his clients.

While the majority of Doug’s career has been spent as an independent consultant, his experience includes stints with: a Vermont-based multi-disciplinary planning & engineering firm; SE Group, where he was responsible for all of the firm’s resort-oriented activities in the areas of real estate development, market research and economic impact assessment; and as a senior advisors with LandVest, a multi-faceted firm with expertise in real estate consulting and marketing & sales of high-end residential properties. In the interest of providing the best team for each project, Doug continues to work with former colleagues as well as a number of other folks in allied disciplines. Doug has a B.A. in Economics/Geography from Middlebury College and a Masters in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

Doug strongly believes that sound thinking and good ideas come from those who get involved in a range of pursuits. To that end, he is an alpine racer, plays soccer (when not injured), raises chickens, bees and goats at home, serves on his town’s Recreation Council and is the Head Coach for the Hanover, NH girls varsity soccer team.
